Two members of our party headed west on Hanaupah Canyon Road but turned around before reaching the oasis due to slow progress in the upper portions of the wash. The Hanaupah Fault Scarp is about 5 miles in. About 9.5 miles in there is an: oasis, Shorty's mine, and a hiking route to Telegraph Peak. The hike is 7.5 miles and 7400 feet!!
